Solid dreadnought with Sitka spruce top, body in sycamore and case
With the D-18 Sycamore the classic from Martin's standard program D-18 with frames and back made of Sycamore gets a new costume. Married to a solid and torrefied Sitka spruce top, this dreadnought delivers powerful and warm bass, vocal and shimmering mids and brilliant highs. With the heat-treated top, the so-called torrefication, the D-18 Sycamore sounds like a guitar that has been played for years. The Sycamore body also provides an outstanding and clear overtone spectrum.
The compensated bone bridge insert provides optimal resonance transmission and a flat string position, while the "Modified Low Oval" neck profile lies comfortably in the hand and at the same time provides plenty of room for fast runs. Last but not least, an original Martin case is already included.
