A humbucker with powerful neodymium magnets specially tuned to the Sterling by Music Man StringRay Short Scale promises particularly fat bass sounds on the bass amplifier, making every note ring out with force. The 3-way rotary switch calls up the coils in series or parallel connection or splits the pickup into a single coil so that different timbres are available. The SBMM StingRay Short Scale Toluca Lake Blue also has a passive volume and tone boost.
