The Real World Interface from Verbos is a three-channel interface for feeding and processing audio signals into the Eurorack modular system. The left and right channels have a built-in condenser microphone, a preamp, an envelope follower with variable decay and a gate extractor. The middle channel, in addition to a preamp, envelope follower, and gate extra ctor, also has an automatic gain control (fixed high ratio compressor), a fundamental extractor (tracking low pass filter), a frequency detector, and a locked oscillator.
The internal microphones are useful for adding electroacoustic room sounds to the modular system. Envelope trackers can be used to apply external signal levels to parameters such as filter cutoff or levels for dynamics processors or VCAs.
Gate extraction allows external sounds such as metronomes, clicks, claps or minimal pauses between signals to drive sequencers, trigger switching functions or start envelopes.
The Frequency Detector can extract the pitch of simple monophonic sounds, but also serves as a semichaotic CV source.
The Locked Oscillator generates a sine wave with the same pitch as the input signal.
