iZotope's BreakTweaker software plugin is a virtual beat machine that allows you to create extremely creative rhythms and sounds thanks to its three modules - Sequencer, Generator and MicroEdit Engine. Thanks to various presets of the included 2 GB factory library, you get a quick insight into the impressive range of possibilities to create beats. Naturally, various parameters are available to incorporate your own ideas and bring your projects to a new level.

The Sequencer

Create pattern-based rhythms in the Sequencer, which offers over six tracks for layering your sounds. Up to 24 different step patterns can be stored and launched via MIDI for spontaneous remixes. Even designing beats that evolve over time is possible. Thanks to BreakTweaker's advanced iso-rhythmic step sequencer, each track can have its own tempo and length.

Generator Module

The Generator respectively the Drum Synthesis Module allows you to create new drum sounds and textures for any sequencer track. It supports morphing wavetable synthesizers or one-shot sample loading and offers Distortion as well as vintage-style filters.

In addition, there are four LFOs with unique wavetable shapes as well as four envelopes that provide extensive modulation possibilities for almost every single generator parameter. A bonus: each sequencer track supports up to three generators for even more sonic complexity.

The MicroEdit Engine

Once you've created your ultimate Set of drum sounds and patterns, it's time for a special approach to sound design. The MicroEdit function divides individual steps within your Pattern into potentially thousands of "slices. These slices can be shaped to create harmonic, pitched and rhythmic effects, resulting in new textures. Add even more spice to your beats and get previously unheard beats!

Factory Library

BreakTweakers Factory Library consists of 2 GB of royalty-free sample content that you can use in your projects as you wish. The presets created have been divided into sample categories such as "Kick" and "Snare" so that you can quickly find your way around and get professional results early.
