The Avid Pro Tools MTRX SPQ Speaker Processor Card is a hardware option card that provides the already powerful MTRX with comprehensive EQ and bus management. Designed to find the right balance between flexibility and ease of use, it offers you powerful monitor control for all configurations, including stereo, 2.1, 5.1, 7.1, immersive formats such as Dolby ATMOS and more.
With the SPQ speaker card, you can add up to 1,024 EQ filters over 128 channels at 48 kHz. You can use a maximum of 16 filters on each channel until the limit of 1,024 is reached. However, if you are using higher resolutions, the system supports 96 kHz (64 channels), 192 kHz (32 channels), and 384 kHz (16 channels). Filters for all sampling rates are natively available on the SPQ card when the sampling rates are changed. The SPQ card can be configured to various filter properties and channel layouts using the DADman control software, is fully integrated, and is easily managed using the Pro|Mon monitor control panel in DADman. The SPQ card supports all system sampling rates and is automatically and quickly reconfigured when the sampling rates change, with the same filters and delay independent of the sampling rate. The delay can be set individually for each channel or generally for a whole range of speakers to allow lip-sync applications.
Normally one card is installed, but if more channels are needed, more cards can be installed. The SPQ board does not have I/O connectivity because it is a pure processing board. The SPQ card features filters for channel-based speaker EQs and bass management. The SPQ setting is stored in the Pro|Mon monitor profile in DADman, and the speaker settings can be recalled separately from the stored monitor profiles for quick parameter changes.
