The Göldo Duesenberg Les Trem II Tremolo Arm & Bridge Gold comes with screws and gold hardware. This is an easy-to-install spring tension tremolo that fits the existing holes of a stop tailpiece without drilling or routing. Equipped with a round arm that is adjustable in angle and length, this tremolo system includes metric and US studs.
The main features of the Göldo Duesenberg Les Trem II Tremolo Arm & Bridge Gold include:
This is a very well made item and has a quality feel and look to it. It works great on any stop tailpiece guitar and fits well on my Gibson SG.
I would highly recommend this product and also the great service and speed of delivery from DV247 Music Store.
Gives you exactly that. Very stable for that "surf" vibrato. One important feature is that unlike a Bigsby, the string don't actually push the spring down. Almost like a Red Special type trem with a Bigsby style spring, if that makes any sense... On my LP the string break angle at the bridge is about the same as if you top-wrap.
I bought this because it is advertised as not needing any modification to guitar. If you install it without mod, the unit sits much higher than the original tailpiece, causing rattling and sustain problems at the bridge! I had to sink the tailpiece bushings to get the right angle. Also the manufacturer is not responsive.
If you have a guitar with a tailpiece, just make sure that:
1) tailpiece stud spacing (center to center) is 81.5 mm
2) The bushings have collars (else you might have to change them). See https://youtu.be/E4Q8yueRNac?t=68 to see what I mean
The installation is very easy, no drilling, an absolutely reverisble upgrade.
Smooth and precise tremolo action. I was looking for a rockabilly/garage/surf kind of tremolo, and this nailed it. Very good for the money too
