Its hard to know where to begin reviewing a guitar like this . For the past few years ive been playing an old , mid price fender strat . Finally after a long time considering a new , high end purchase , i decided on the Ash body elite telecaster . Immediately what i noticed is that every aspect of this guitar is designed for the professional player . You truly dont understand how great a compound D-C neck feels until you play one . On the same note i believe that the G4 noiseless pickups are the best fender have ever made . You get fat blues/jazz sound from the neck pup and truly vintage twangy tone from the bridge pup . And not to mention that these pickups are DEAD QUIET . Because of the locking tuners also , i cant remember playing a guitar that stays in tune like this without some kind of locking trem . Through out an entire live show , i may have to tweak a string once . For me being a very heavy handed player , this was very surprising . You can always find people making fun online about how fender release new guitars with progressively higher prices , and ill admit i was skeptical in the past about the american deluxe series . However i really believe that any doubter who plays one of these will see the value of all the small tweaks and improvements fender have made . It makes me confident that i will play this guitar for the rest of my life .

Beautifully made and perfectly set up, this instrument remains faithful to the original masterpiece of industrial and musical design which is the Fender Telecaster. It incorporates a host of unobtrusive improvements: easy truss rod adjuster, a 22nd fret, a fully-intonatable bridge, locking tuners, the series/parallel S1 switch, the comfort body profiling, the convenient and elegantly-reshaped heel, and the noiseless pickups. A joy to play and a delight to the ear, it's an instrument to treasure.
