The Focusrite Red 8Line is the perfect interface between a computer with a Thunderbolt 3 connection and a Pro Tools HD system or a Dante network. The interface manages a total of up to 54 input and 68 output channels simultaneously and itself contains 8 AD and DA converters, 2 of which can be fed with either DI or microphone signals. The versatility of the system is further increased by 2 ADAT pairs as well as an S/PDIF interface, so that even older, but often no less high-quality devices such as reverb effects or converters (e.g. from Apogee or RME) can be connected. For the synchronization of digital devices, both a Word Clock In/Out pair and the Loop Sync interface are available. On the front, in addition to the two DI ins, you'll also find the two powerful headphone jacks, which, like all other inputs and outputs, can be fully remote controlled and routed via the software provided by Focusrite. Those who want or need to work with surround mixes can also assign the corresponding monitor channels to the outputs here; up to 7.1. is natively supported by the Red 8Line, with the Focusrite RedNet R1 Desktop Controller even mixes in Dolby Atmos are configurable.
