The short 30" Shortscale scale length (762 mm) gives the G&L Tribute Fallout Bass not only buttery smooth playing characteristics due to the reduced string tension, but also a characteristic sound with a sonorous bass foundation. The slim poplar body also sits comfortably on the player, while the bolt-on maple neck in the "Slim C" profile lets every groove come out of the fingers with ease.
Surprisingly flexible sound
As pickup for the Tribute Series Fallout Bass G&L chooses a powerful Magnetic Field Design humbucker (MFD), which comes up with a powerful sound when placed in middle position. The 3-way mini switch allows you to select different circuits of the humbucker coils, so that the practical E-Bass comes up with three different timbres, ranging from the warm old-school sound of the parallel mode to the wiry transparency of the coil split to the unbridled aggression of the OMG mode. furthermore, the four-stringer offers a volume control and a treble slider to adjust the sound.
