The Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Iced Tea Burst from the Gibson Custom Shop comes as close to the coveted feel and tone of an original "'59 'Burst" as any electric guitar.
Woods and construction
The Gibson Custom Shop naturally relies on the historical specifications and manufactures the electric guitar with a one-piece mahogany body, flamed maple top and mahogany neck with a long neck tenon. Hide-Glue and a thin nitro finish guarantee a free sound development and long sustain. The not too thick "Authentic '59 Medium C" profile and the typical 12" radius of the rosewood fingerboard create comfortable playing characteristics.
Pickups and Hardware
At the guitar's amplifier, two Gibson Custombuckers deliver the signature PAF sound, whose singing midrange and lively dynamics provide the perfect foundation for the classic licks and riffs of blues and rock. An equally historically accurate and reliable hardware setup with ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stop bar and Kluson Deluxe tuners complete the Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Iced Tea Burst.
