The Golden Age Project GA-251 MkII is a newly designed copy of the historic Telefunken ELA M 251, which was produced by AKG at the time as the successor to the Neumann U-47. Only the very best components were used in the design to ensure a transparent and loss-free signal path that meets professional standards. All of the GA-251's electronics are hand-wired point-to-point using silver wire and silver solder. Hi-fi resistors from DALE and polystyrene capacitors ensure the best signal integrity with minimal noise. A specially developed output transformer and the sophisticated power supply round off the concept. With this microphone, you are buying more than the ten-thousandth clone, but a high-quality handcrafted product that brings the sought-after sound of old classics into the present at an acceptable price by combining modern components, a sophisticated design and an uncompromisingly high-quality connection.
