The Guild Starfire I-12 DC 12-String Cherry enriches the famous Starfire Collection and wide-ranging 12-String sounds. The electric guitar in semi-hollow construction has a center block, which allows the Starfire I-12 to show off its tonal strengths without feedback even in higher gain ranges. Two Guild HB-2 humbuckers familiar from the series are used in the neck and bridge positions of the Guild Starfire I-12. These are fitted with Alnico II magnets and provide warm, round humbucker sounds with moderate output. Thanks to the separate coil split option of the two push/pull volume controls, the sound variety of the instrument is enormous and offers numerous sounds from juicy humbucker tones to airy single coil sounds and all possible combinations of the two pickup types. Last but not least, the Guild Starfire I-12 DC 12-String Cherry relies on a resonant tune-o-matic/stopbar combination and 12 in-house Guild closed-gear tuners.
