With the Hanika HE-Torres, the traditional German manufacturer under Armin Hanika presents one of its master class instruments, which impresses with its selected materials, its comfortable playability and its defined and rich sound. A symmetrical, curved 7-fold bracing provides for a special dynamic, which optimizes the vibration behavior of the dome-shaped top and thus also the sound development. Numerous
In order to produce a defined and warm sound, the manufacturer uses a fine-grained spruce wood of 1-grain for the top, so that thanks to its even structure and grain, each note stands out clearly and distinctly from the others. The back and sides are made of a coarse-grained violet rosewood, which gives the sound a very pleasant and warm coloration. The individual components of the body are finished with a cured UV varnish, while the top is sealed with a hand-polished shellac. In addition, a robust cedar neck with rosewood and mahogany inserts ensures particularly comfortable fingering in all 19 frets, which are set into a finely marbled grenadilla fingerboard. A combination of a millimeter-precise saddle and a 52 mm wide nut also guarantees clean intonation over the entire scale length of 650 mm.
For precise tuning of the 6 nylon strings, gold design tuners by Nicoló Alessi are set into the open rosewood-maple macassar headstock, perfectly underlining the instrument's high quality. A Z5 grenadilla soundhole rosette in combination with fine grenadilla bindings forms a harmonious contrast to the pale top wood and thus creates a fine transition to the selected tropical wood of the body.
