On the occasion of the company's 70th anniversary, Hanika presents a truly special limited edition. The Hanika Jubi-70 is equipped with numerous traditional as well as state-of-the-art features that result in an outstanding instrument and show the awareness of tradition combined with the innovative approach of the family-run company. Thus, the 4/4 concert guitar comes with a solid cedar top and a special three-piece back construction made of East Indian rosewood and tineo, which create both an attractive look and a great sound. At the same time, the monitor hole in the upper rib also allows guitarists to enjoy an enhanced sound experience, while the "Elevated Fingerboard" guarantees increased playability.
With a solid cedar top, Hanika relies on an absolute classic in the field of classical guitars. The popular tonewood produces a powerful, open sound, with smooth basses and an overall distinctively warm tone. A particularly popular characteristic of cedar is furthermore the rapid sound development, which is already fully pronounced after a very short time and directly reveals the full potential of a guitar. At the same time, the solid construction here ensures improved vibration behavior, which gives the model the necessary assertiveness and thus makes it interesting even for professionals.
With mahogany back and sides, this part of the guitar is also made of a well-tried tonewood. To give it an innovative character, the three-piece back is equipped with a middle section made of tineo, which is mainly found in Chile and occasionally in Argentina. While the attractive grain of the wood contrasts interestingly with the mahogany, it also has a positive effect on the sound characteristics of the instrument. Thus, in addition to the warm tone typical of mahogany with concise mids, more stability and a resulting excellent projection are created.
An exceptionally user-friendly feature here is undoubtedly the built-in monitor hole in the upper rib. The additional small sound hole increases the volume and also allows for improved self-perception. Guitarists thus get a more direct impression of the sound of their guitar, which is particularly advantageous in loud environments and on stage. Players and audiences alike can look forward to the ultimate sound experience.
The cedar neck with a grippy C-profile is also modern and comfortable, while the "Elevated Fingerboard" made of grenadilla facilitates access to the upper registers thanks to its highlighted design. At the same time, the 52 mm wide bone nut is made for classic fingerstyle and, in combination with a palisander bridge with bone inlay, guarantees clean intonation. The latter, together with the gold-plated Rubner tuners, ensure a high tuning stability for perfect tonal security.
