The Kawai NV-5 S Hybrid digital piano combines a high-quality piano action with the latest sound and amplifier technology. The Millennium III Hybrid action built into the NV-5 S is based on the manufacturer's proven K-Series and offers all the benefits of a premium piano keyboard. The hybrid digital piano features SK-EX rendering sound generation, which faithfully reproduces the sound of the Shigeru grand piano. The speaker system in the NV-5 S, developed in collaboration with Onkyo, features a combination of Kawai's exclusive TwinDrive soundboard technology and six high-quality Onkyo speakers.

Natural piano action

The Millennium III Hybrid action built into the Kawai NV-5 S features extended keys and ABS carbon parts. This high-quality keyboard forms the center of the piano. For the precise determination of the velocity, the Novus NV5 S is equipped with high-resolution optical sensors. The ABS hammers, manufactured with the highest precision, stand for structural stability and allow for a very natural playing feel.

Expressive sound

The Novus NV5S incorporates the SK-EX rendering sound engine to faithfully reproduce the impressive sound of the Kawai Shigeru grand piano. This sound generator combines high-resolution multi-channel sampling of all 88 keys with the latest resonance modelling technology. This makes for a very dynamic playing experience.

Powerful Amplifier System

The speaker system in the NV5S is a combination of Kawai's exclusive TwinDrive soundboard technology and six high-quality Onkyo speakers. The result of this combination is a very authentic and spatial sound image that remarkably reproduces the sound of an acoustic grand piano. Among other things, the upwardly radiating mid-high speakers ensure a spatial sound image.

5" Touchscreen Operation

Kawai has developed a completely new operating concept for the Novus NV5 S Hybrid Digital Piano. The Hybrid Digital Piano features a high-resolution 5" touchscreen with an intuitively designed user interface. It allows the selection and change of sounds and settings by simply tapping or swiping with one finger on the touchscreen surface.

Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio

Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio technology enables wireless communication with smartphones or tablets. Once paired with a smartphone, tablet, or other device, a wide range of music-related apps can be conveniently used in conjunction with the instrument. Via Bluetooth audio pairing, even audio files from mobile devices can be played wirelessly through the speakers of the Kawai Novus NV5 S Hybrid.
