Neumann TLM 103 mt Stereo-Set black 2x Micro/2x EA1 El.Holder/Case
The TLM 103 is one of the best sounding vocal microphones i´ve ever worked with, it sounded just like the U87 when it comes to the "Neumann" sound, but with less noise and less smatter and unpleasant mouth sounds. I personally like to have some smatter so the vocals sound human and not "perfect". So i put a TLM 103 and U87 together on a vocal, and it worked perfectly, i did not even use any EQ on the vocals to remove or enhance parts within the voice. I love the U87 and i know that lots of people use it on vocals, but putting the TLM 103 in my vocal recording was the best thing that ever happend to my vocal sound. It also sounds great on strings, but i would have used it on a lot more instruments if it had multiplie directional patterns. If you are after a good sounding vocal mic this one will definitely do it even though it costs under half the price of a U87.
