With the PRS Santana Retro 10-Top Emerald Green Smoked Burst Paul Reed Smith revives basic design elements of the Santana " Pre Factory" era model and combines them with modern detail solutions to create a unique electric guitar with high playing comfort and creamy sound. Accordingly, the flamed maple top in sublime 10-top quality has a distinctive contour, while the body and glued neck are made of carefully selected mahogany. In the rosewood fingerboard, the traditional Bird inlays also mark the layers. With a PRS 58/15 Humbucker on the bridge and a 58/15 PRS Santana Humbucker on the neck, the PRS Santana Retro guitar amp delivers the typical Santana -sound with sustainable sustain and a singing midrange spectrum. Last but not least, it PRS Santana Retro 10-Top has a PRS Gen III Tremolo and PRS Phase III Locking mechanics.
Paul Reed Smith PRS Santana Retro uses classic " Pre factory" lines for the design. The PRS Santana Retro 10-Top Emerald Green Smoked Burst two PRS Humbucker pickups are optimally tuned to the electric guitar and Carlos Santana's sound ideas. On the neck, the PRS Santana Bass Humbucker with moderate output for a harmonically balanced sound that is equally suitable for transparent cleans and singing leads. The PRS 58/15 placed on the bridge also has a moderate output and delivers a Vintage -oriented sound, which has a high assertiveness thanks to tight bass and pronounced mids. I've been playing a while and I've been fortunate to be able to obtain some good modern repros. I've still got my old SG w/vibrola purchased new from Selmer (1967). A difficult instrument to better. This Santana model feels like an improved update of it. Cannot give a better acolade than that. Well done PRS.
