The Sandberg California TT4 Passive PF Virgin White Highgloss from the Brunswick-based instrument forge impresses as a classically built E-Bass with variable sound and a coherent Modern-Vintage design. In addition to the alder body, the four-stringer has a six-bolt maple neck with pau ferro fingerboard, while passive SandbergAlnico single coils and the tradition-conscious passive circuit take care of the electrical sound conversion.
The Sandberg California TT4 Passive PF convinces thanks to the coherent modern-vintage design with excellent playing characteristics and variable timbres.
Typical Sandberg: six screws create a stable connection between the alder body and the comfortable maple neck.
Traditional construction for the crisp sound
As material for the body of the California TT4 Passive, Sandberg chooses the proven alder wood, while the six-bolt neck is made of maple with a pau ferro fingerboard. Accordingly, the 4-string electric bass impresses with a crisp sound, whose precise sound development and long Sustain provide the perfect foundation for any style of music. With its comfortably designed C-profile and 39.5 mm nut width, the neck nestles in the hand when E-Bass is played, so that even complex bass lines can be implemented with ease on the 22-fret fretboard.

For the electrical sound conversion of the California TT4 Passive, Brunswick relies on in-house single-coils withAlnico V magnets and traditional passive electrics. Freely mixable via dedicated volume pots, the passive Bass pickups deliver a wide tonal palette that includes both midrange-rich, wiry tones and sounds with abysmal low end, making the bass guitar an all-rounder for pop, rock, Blues and jazz. To adjust the treble response, the Control Plate also has a Tone control.
Lightweight Sandberg Machine Heads keep the California TT Passive Bass securely in tune while preventing annoying neck dive.

The hardware equipment of the Sandberg California TT4 Passive PF Virgin White Highgloss comes from its own house and presents itself with thoughtful functionality. The solidly builtSandberg Bridge 4 supports the dignified sound character of the bass on the one hand, and on the other hand, thanks to the three-dimensionally adjustable string saddle, not only intonation and string action can be perfectly adjusted, but also the string spacing can be adjusted to one's own preferences. At the headstock, zero fret and nut guide the strings to theSandberg machine heads, which convince with absolute tuning stability and counteract unwanted head heaviness due to their low weight.
