Classic applications of a 47 FET
The Warm Audio WA-47F is a large diaphragm condenser microphone with FET transistor and is modeled after the legendary "47 FET". For a condenser microphone, it has tremendous sonic strength and can handle high sound levels. For this reason, and because of its distinctive sound, it is often used on bass drums. It gives them punch, low-end and definition. But the 47 FET is also highly appreciated for vocal recordings. Here it delivers a rich and smooth sound, which was especially appreciated in the 70's. Naturally, the WA-47F can also be used on various other sources.
