Arturia Performance - KeyStep Pro
Arturia KeyStep Pro Chroma at a glance:
The Arturia KeyStep Pro Chroma is a successful combination of Arturia's cult controllers KeyStep and BeatStep Pro. A velocity-sensitive keyboard with 37 keys, which also has aftertouch, is the primary means of recording melodies, basslines and drum triggers. The TR grid can also be used here to place your beats to the point. Four trackscan be played in parallel and output their notes and commands to a total of two MIDI ports, eight drum triggers and four CV/gate/velocity outputs. The control voltage outputs of the ArturiaKeyStep Pro can be linked together, making it possible to play a lush modular system in four voices. Of course, polyphony is also output via MIDI. The analogue clock/reset inputs/outputs can be used to synchronize a drum computer from the pre-MIDI era, a Teenage Pocket Operator or the sequencer of a modular system, for example. The metronome built into the KeyStep Pro is output as an audio signal and can be conveniently monitored via the mixer or headphones. An arpeggiator and a random function round off the controller, which has been optimized with a focus on live and direct access.
Special edition in an elegant sci-fi design
CHROMA is the name of the futuristic-looking special edition of the popular KeyStep Pro sequencer. The dark science fiction design is emphasized by the inverted buttons, and the track colours can also be adapted to personal taste. The bright blue LEDs and the blue and white displays offer improved interaction with the KeyStep Pro, and not just in diffuse lighting.
