50 ms to 1000 ms delay time, from 700 ms the sound gets a lo-fi character
Time control for adjusting the delay time
Feedback control for the number of echoes
Mix control determines the ratio of effect and dry signal
Control knob and mode switch regulate two parameters depending on the selected algorithm
Tap tempo function
Option to save one Preset per algorithm
Stereo inputs and outputs
Shift function with secondary function for each knob
Sturdy metal housing
Operation with optionally available power supply
Flexible StereoDelay for sound tinkerers
With the Dreadbox Raindrops, the creative effect and synthesizer tinkerers from Athens present a flexible delay pedal for creative sound experiments. With three characterful effect algorithms and straightforward handling, the stereo effect pedal delivers not only classic echo and reverb effects but also wacky sounds that sometimes take on a life of their own.
Three algorithms
At the heart of Dreadbox Raindrops Delay are three lovingly programmed effect algorithms that open the door to creative and interesting soundscapes. The Modulated Delay mode constantly changes the Delay-Time via an LFO to give the sound an unexpected liveliness. The Pitch Shifted mode, on the other hand, varies the pitch of the generated echoes, while Lush Reverb, as the name suggests, lays a long reverb trail over the effect.
Straightforward concept
Despite the three distinct algorithms, the Raindrops pedal from Dreadbox convinces with a straightforward operating concept, with the help of which the appropriate setting is found in no time. In addition to the classic Time control, the guitar pedal offers a practical Tap Tempo function for adjusting the delay time, while the Feedback and Mix pots influence the number of echoes and the ratio of effect and dry signal as usual. The Mode switch and Control knob also allow you to adjust two effect parameters depending on the selected delay algorithm.
