Full equipment for the prospective singer/songwriter
The Epiphone PR-4E Acoustic/Electric Player Pack contains everything needed for a successful start on the acoustic guitar. In addition to the PR-4E Jumbo guitar with pickup system and the Studio Acoustic-15C combo, a tuner, strap, cables, picks and a matching gig bag are included. In addition, free online lessons from eMedia facilitate the first steps on the instrument.
The PR-4E is a classic jumbo guitar with spruce top and mahogany body.
The Opus 3PH pickup system features a 3-band equalizer, volume control and a phase switch to suppress feedback.
PR-4E Guitar
The Epiphone PR-4E is already in the program of the traditional manufacturer and enjoys great popularity among beginners as well as among advanced musicians. Responsible for this is their mature sound with powerful bass, presence-warm midrange and discreet brilliance, which results from the combination of spruce top and large jumbo body made of mahogany and supports expressive playing with high volume.
With the integrated Opus 3PH pickup system, the Epiphone PR-4E is ideally equipped for increased use on stage or in the studio. The combination of piezo pickup, which fits under the bridge insert, and the preamp integrated in the frame transmits the sound of the jumbo guitar with natural warmth and dynamics. The 3-band tone control allows adaptation to all conditions, while the phase inversion switch helps to avoid feedback.
The saddle width of 42.7 mm and the easy-to-grip neck profile allow a butter-soft and fatigue-free playability of the guitar even for beginners, while the cutaway opens the door for solo excursions in the high register.
A microphone can be connected to the two-channel Studio Acoustic-15C Combo for amplification next to the guitar. The integrated chorus significantly enriches the sound spectrum.
Studio Acoustic-15C Combo
The Epiphone Studio Acoustic-15C Combo with 15 Watt power and its 8" speaker is perfect for amplifying the PR-4E and has sufficient volume reserves for first steps in the rehearsal room and small jam sessions. The stylish combo convinces with its natural and well-balanced reproduction of the instrument sound, in which the dynamics do not fall by the wayside. With the help of the 3-band tone control the sound can be perfectly adjusted, while the integrated chorus supports and emphasizes the sound image of the guitar, especially in interaction with other instruments.
The Studio Acoustic-15C is also equipped with a balanced XLR input for microphones so that it can also be used as a vocal system.

I am relatively new to playing the guitar, I started years ago but somehow ended up stopping too soon. A year ago I decided to start again and somehow I ended up choosing this model. Hesitating about how much to invest was the main rationale. The sound is amazing. This is the main reason why I just keep practicing despite the fact that I play solely for myself and to learn basic music theory. I regularly check for tuning but it needs to be retuned not so frequently as it remains in tune for quite a long time. I rarely use the amplifier since for parctice and home use the guitar itself is loud enough. For beginners or casual players it's the perfect choice, but I think more advanced players would not be disappointed as well.
Only issue with the kit is that as I'm in Ireland I'll need to buy an adapter to plug in the amp.. But overall good starter / practice guitar with case and some extras thanks!
