Epiphone Tommy Thayer "White Lightning" Explorer

The Epiphone Tommy Thayer “White Lightning” Explorer is the third incarnation of the Kiss Guitarist's signature electric guitar. Based on the classic Explorer design, the guitar has a Mahogany body and a glued Mahogany neck in the nimble "1960s Slim Taper D" profile. 2x Seymour Duncan JB humbuckers, open on the bridge and with a cap on the neck, provide juicy rock sounds of the highest quality. Complete with an Epiphone Tune-O-Matic bridge, stop-bar tailpiece and precise Grover tuners. The Tommy Thayer White Lightning Explorer also comes with a certificate and strap in a stylish case, and features chrome Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbuckers in the neck and bridge position for fat rock sounds. In honour of the guitar heroes of the 1960s and 70s the bridge pick-up features an open coil design for more bite in the high frequencies. 2x volume pots for each pick-up and a tone control are also included as part of the classic 3-way circuit.

The Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge is a revised version of the classic of the 1950s model and sits firmly on the retaining bolts, providing support and sustain. Grover Rotomatic tuners on the headstock also ensure precise and stable tuning.
