The Fame DD-5500 Pro E-Drum Kit is an electronic drum set with strong features that does not overly strain the small purse. Just like its predecessors, the DD-5500 combines the best possible quality with fabulously affordable conditions. In a complete package with snare pad, three tom pads, two cymbal pads, a hi hat pad plus foot controller and a kick pad with associated pedal, the e-drum kit offers ideal conditions for beginners. Thanks to the versatile sound module, the e-drum set is also suitable for the stage or home studio without restrictions. Visually, the drum set from Fame shines with a primarily black design that is rounded off with red accents.
26 preset kits are stored on the DD-5500 sound module for immediate recall. These can be supplemented by 15 of your own, for which 458 different drum and percussion sounds from all musical genres from Latin to electro to rock are available. All parameters such as volume, pitch and trigger sensitivity of the individual pads can be easily entered into the 128 x 64 LCD display via knob and rotary wheel and then saved.
Everything that has stood the test of time in the ever-growing e-drum world is also found in the DD-5500 PRO. Snare and tom pads have two trigger zones that can be individually assigned. On the snare pad, both trigger zones, i.e. rim and center, can even be played simultaneously. The cymbal pads can be stopped by hand using the choke function and the Hi Hat controller has a dynamic response. Due to the special rubber coating, all pads are pleasantly quiet during play and can therefore be used safely in your own home without the threat of a neighborhood war.
In addition, the DD-5500 sound module offers a 3-band equalizer and two reverb options. If you want to learn or practice playing the drums, the Electronic Drum Kit invites you through numerous features. Twenty demo songs to play along with and a metronome with helpful features train your sense of rhythm while playing.
A number of connections at the back of the Fame DD-5500 sound module allows among other things the connection of a PC in case external drum sounds are to be used or the e-drum set is to be played into the MIDI sequencer. It is also possible to connect an MP3 player, which allows you to play along with your own music. For this purpose, the Soundmosul has easily accessible audio in, AUX and USB/MIDI connections. There is also a standard 5 pin MIDI out jack, which gives the wide range of the Fame DD-5500 Pro E-Drum Kit various application possibilities.
The lightweight drum rack with rubber feet provides a secure hold and flexible adjustment options. The joints and the freely movable tom holding clamps allow almost any positioning of the boom and the drum pads. The two cymbal pads are recessed into the rack bars to save space, where they are always easily accessible thanks to an integrated articulated arm. Very close to the original acoustic setup, a realistic and natural training environment can be created.

This is a very nice drum for me. I want an equipment to study at my home without make noise to thr neighbours! The processor is nice and the USB link is a +! Nice purchase!
Very good price. Easy to assemble to use. Professional appearance. First orchestral drum kit and practicing the perfect choice.
One downside: the drums settings- the sensitivity setting should require some clarification. between 1 and 2 is too large difference.
I think its great! Good price/performance. The sound is very nice. Easy to put pieces together. Really good to practice out of classes!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Very easy to assemble, wires are already deployed on the rack. Plays very nicely with sensitive pads (velocity), two zones per drum (mid and rim) and cymbals with silencing capability (by gripping it). The rack itself looks very solid and it is easy to adapt the position and height of the drums. I liked the "real" bass paddle (with chain) and that the hi-hat provides a cool half-open position that sounds really nice.
