I would give this bass 5/5 rating due to the quality of the insurement relative to the price it costs. I will use it for recording and live situations, I have another bass but it is too heavy for me to stand with for long periods of time so I purchased this bass and I am not disappointed, I got black with maple fingerboard and it looks great, and it has that classic P-bass sound, the neck is very nice and will suit any player it’s not too thick nor too thin. The bass is very well balanced even though it’s light. Music store did a great job in checking this bass before they sent it. I only had to raise the E string very slightly to prevent buzzing around the 12th/13th fret and upwards. The only thing I don’t like about the bass is the strings but I will be soon changing those, otherwise I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone, although I would only purchase it from Music store as I know they check all instruments before shipping and Fender can have some quality issues.
I've got a Fender Precision bass from 1978 and bought this one for my son as he wants to learn. Good to see that quality and sound the Precision is noted for is still there. A great guitar!
Great finish, nice weight (not too heavy) and set up really well out of the box.
Loving the satin feel of the neck and the overall look and feel of the instrument. Looking forward to playing it in a band situation very soon.
Exceptional value for money
Great sound with a punchy mid range - everything you would expect from a P bass
The orange finish is really pretty looking especially paired with the Right On Mojo Maracaibo strap.
When shopping around I was a little concerned I wouldn't like the Pau ferro fretboard, particularly with a lighter brown colour than rosewood, but it's honestly very smart looking and I think I even prefer it.
The body is not as heavy as I expected from a fender P bass.
Overall just really good value for the money you're paying. Highly recommend
