With the Jackson Pro Series Signature Marty Friedman MF-1 Purple Mirror, Jackson and Marty Friedman present a very special version of the famous Monarkh. The signature instrument of the fretboard virtuoso, who impressively proved his unique exceptional talent together with Jason Becker in Cacophony and with the thrash icons of Megadeth, comes here with specs completely tailored to Marty's demands.
Mahogany Body & Cracked Mirror Top
The basic construction of the Marty Friedman MF-1 consists of a mahogany body with set mahogany neck, whose slightly shorter 24.75" scale length grants a smooth playing feel with additional control over precise bends on the 22-fret ebony fretboard. The body is finished off by an impressively crafted top in Purple Mirror design with impressive depth effect and an additional abalone purfling.
EMG MF Signature
For sound transformation the MF-1 as a true Marty Friedman Signature of course relies on his personal EMG MF Signature set. The two passive humbuckers skillfully underline Marty's fast and expressive playing style with clear string separation for lightning-fast passages and sheer endless Sustain for expressive lead passages. Both pickups are controlled via separate knobs for Volume and Tone.
Solid hardware setup with fixed bridge and locking mechanics
The all-black hardware setup of the Jackson Pro Series Signature Marty Friedman MF-1 Purple Mirror is composed of a TOM-style bridge with individually adjustable string riders and matching Stopbar for resonant sounds, while six locking tuners provide absolute tuning stability.
