The MXR M307 Layers at a glance:
The MXR M307 Layers turns out to be a wonderful tool for creating rich soundscapes and organic pad sounds. The effect pedal built into the classic MXR housing offers up to three simultaneous sound layers, which can be activated automatically via the velocity in conjunction with the selected TRIG control setting. However, if the TRIG control is turned off completely, individual layers can be triggered via the footswitch. The two controls for Attack and Decay allow additional control over the attack and decay behavior of the layers, giving the sounds of the M307 layers violin-like swells and long-lasting reverb flags. Last but not least, the MXR M307 Layer features a Sub Octave Switch to open up the bass range and a CTR connection for real-time control of the effect via separately available expression pedals.
