The Werkstatt-01 from Moog is a very compact, semi-modular analog synthesizer with the famous fat Moog sound. The instrument has to ne assembled by yourself, which is done in a few minutes with a screwdriver and requires no deep technical knowledge or even soldering. The pure analog sound generation is composed of an oscillator with sawtooth, square and PWM, a 24 dB lowpass filter and a VCA with drone mode. Filter, VCO and VCA can be modulated separately, for this an LFO with triangle and square waveforms and an ADS envelope are available. That's all it takes to reproduce the massive Moog sound in its simplest form. The included CV Expander provides a total of twelve inputs and outputs for CV, gate, audio signals and other control voltages. This can be used to control the Moog Werkstatt-01 synthesizer from other equipment, also because no MIDI is implemented. A mini keyboard with 13 notes is built in for jamming.
