Soma'sQuantum Ocean is an analog noise generator with an almost shamanistic approach. The circuitry of this sound source is controlled by four sensitive electrode pads. As these pads are touched with the hands, the human body becomes part of the circuit, as humans also have low but measurable currents in them. So the basic sound can already vary from user to user. In the 56-page instruction manual, which is more like a spiritual manifesto, the manufacturer deliberately invites you to take your time with Quantum Ocean and listen in depth. Because noise is not just noise, listening to the nuances and constant variations is definitely to be understood as an inspirational, inner contemplation and, on top of that, can be used as a sound collage.
