Amplification for the legendary SSL G Comp Bus Compressor.
The SSL 500-Series Ultra Violet EQ module is a stereo EQ designed for the master bus. It is the optimal addition to the Master section - either next to the legendary SSL G Comp, or in combination with comparable dynamics processors.
Violet?
In the upper section, SSL has borrowed the "Violet" minimal phase EQ from the SSL Fusion - a two-band shelving EQ with minimal phase shift. The first new analog SSL EQ circuit in more than 25 years, it leverages the SSL legacy of carefully selected frequencies and frequency curves to create a musical and intuitive EQ designed to quickly and easily adjust low-end weight and high-end shine. High and low frequency circuits each offer four switching frequency points and +/-9dB of attenuation.
Ultra?
Violet" becomes "Ultra" with the addition of two fully parametric mid bands added by SSL. Both bands have been equipped with the switchable "Focus" mode for precise sound processing. This allows for targeted accentuation or elimination of certain frequencies by increasing both the filter Q and the gain range at the touch of a button.
