In the construction process of the Sandberg California TM2 5-string MN Tobacco Burst Hardcore Aged, the Brunswick-based bass builders paid special attention to a crisp reproduction of all strings and smooth playability. Accordingly, the five-string features an alder body and a six-point bolted maple neck, whose flat "C" profile offers comfortable grip over all 22 frets of the maple fingerboard.
With two Sandberg Powerhumbucker pickups and the active 2-band EQ, the Sandberg California TM2 5-string delivers extremely fat bass sounds.

With two Sandberg Powerhumbucker pickups, the Sandberg California TM2 5-String is able to produce an extremely powerful bass sound, whose super low bass and concise mids you feel in your body, and also cleanly reproduces the low B string. The perfectly tuned, active 2-band equalizer is used for adjusting the sound. A push/pull switch in the volumecontrol lets you bypass the equalizer for classic passive sound. In addition, both pickups can be split via the split switch, making first-class single-coil sounds also part of the bass's repertoire.
