With its three crystal clear, ultra-low noise Kashmir preamps , you can record and process multiple actors, podcasters or various audio sources for smaller productions with the highest quality. We're talking 192 kHz sample rate and 32-bit float bit depth! The award-winning MixPre series of this latest generation of Sound Devices has been re-engineered for more power and an amazing 142 dB of dynamic range.

The MixPre-3 II is highly customizable to your needs: record internally to a compatible SD card at Set or stream your podcast to your home computer via USB. Run the mixer on Compoter power, direct power from the wall or with AA- or Sony L-mount batteries. Adjust limiter, bit depth, sample rates, gain, pan, low-cut, phase inversion and phantom power to your liking! Trigger your camera with the internal timecode generator or feed timecode via HDMI or AUX In - the choice is yours!

Sound Devices delivers a special update for all MixPre versions (except M-Series), which comes with several improvements and features. These include flexible USB Output routing, USB Hub support and an exciting new MixAssist plugin.

MixAssist™ is highly regarded for its ability to reduce ambient noise and reverberation when mixing and recording with multiple microphones. The advanced automixer includes several proprietary algorithms to reduce noise and phase artifacts, including Noise Adaptive Threshold, MaxBus, Last Mic Lock-on, Off-Attenuation, and NOMA (Number or Open Mic Attenuator). MixAssist was previously only available on Sound Devices high-end 6-, 7-, and 8-series mixer-recorders.
