The Warm Audio Pedal76 for guitars at a glance:
With the Pedal76, Warm Audio delivers a reissue of one of the most legendary studio compressors in music history and offers its iconic features, which are tailored to modern rigs and fit on any Pedalboard thanks to compact housing! Like the original, the pedal delivers transparent compression and is perfectly matched to the guitar and Bass. Thanks to the analogue FET circuit, the original dynamics of the audio signal are retained without any unnatural squashing. At the same time, the compressor delivers a tight sound character that is not only suitable for accentuated Pickings or percussive funk chords but can also provide endless lead sustain or a huge load of punch!
The Pedal76 compressor fits easily into any pedalboard thanks to its compact size!
Get the best out of your sound!
The Pedal76 compressor offers the same setting options as its legendary predecessor: classic controls for Ratio, Attack and Release allow you to compress the guitar signal to suit your taste, while two further controls for Input/CompressionandOutput can be used to set the input and output level of the audio signal. The fully analogue FET circuit allows clean and transparent compression that delivers an unadulterated sound character and enables equally precise attenuation and a fast response time for the attack and release parameters. In addition, the drive switch on the rear panel offers the possibility of a characteristic sound colouration to give the audio signal expression and warmth. The centrepiece of the Pedal76 is the central VU meter display, which not only provides a view of how much the volume of the audio signal is reduced when compression is applied but also conveys the vintage charm of earlier studio compressors!
In addition to the balanced output, a separate amplifier output is available for a higher output level!
Versatile application options
Thanks to various connection options, the Pedal76 compressor offers a wide range of applications. For the instrument input, the input sensitivity can be set to Low and High Off, while for the balanced output it is possible to specify whether the output should be regulated to Low or High level. In addition, the Ground Lift switch offers the option of eliminating unwanted hum loops, depending on the routing. Other features include a separate amplifier output if a stronger output signal is required and a switch for bypass and buffered bypass. Depending on the position on the Pedalboard or other routing cases, the Pedal76 offers a wide range of applications in the home studio or on stage!
