The H6essential from Zoom is a portable audio recorder that enables professional and versatile recording. It features six tracks of 32-bit float recording, providing unrivaled sound quality and clip-free recording without leveling.

The H6essential has an interchangeable microphone capsule system 3.0 with 32-bit float support that covers various recording situations. The supplied X/Y microphone capsule captures up to 135 dB SPL, which corresponds to the sound pressure of a jet taking off. In addition, the H6essential has four XLR/TRS combo inputs with locking connectors that can connect external microphones or line-level sources. The H6essential has a color LCD screen, a built-in speaker, a headphone output, a line output and a built-in mixer to adjust the audio level of each track. In addition, the device has an audio guide function to make it easier for blind or visually impaired people to use the H6essential.

The H6essential can also be used as a 32-bit float audio interface for PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices via the USB-C port, while simultaneously recording to an SD card of up to 1 TB. With the optional Bluetooth adapter BTA-1, the H6essential can also be synchronized with wireless timecode devices or with the H6essential Control App for iOS. The H6essential has a battery life of up to 10 hours with four AA batteries or can be powered via USB-C Bus Power.
