I looked far and wide for a USB foot switch that would play a MIDI note to work with a DAW. It may just be me but I couldn't find any. Low and behold I stumbled upon this lovely piece and after a couple of days it delivered on the goods. There are 8 buttons that can be activated easily with your foot!!! You can assign these to function with different DAWs so read the manual. I use these to trigger samples in Ableton Live, each button has a different MIDI note and it momentary. it has toggle options too.
Even better there are LEDs that give you visual feedback. I can't find fault with it although my only wish is that each button could be set up individually i.e. some MIDI notes, some program change, some momentary and some toggle. Currently they are forced to be the same. This shouldn't put you off though as these kinds of footswitches are few and far between!
Great Footswitch!
