The Allparts BP-2007-010 Tremolo Clamp for Ibanez Tremolo Systems is a high-quality and innovative tremolo locking device for use with Ibanez electric guitars with an existing tremolo/vibrato unit.
The Tremol-No is a patented device that is added to an electric guitar equipped with a tremolo unit. It allows guitarists to turn their tremolo unit "on" (so they can raise or lower the pitch of the note with the tremolo unit) or "off" (where the tremolo unit doesn't move at all; no lowering or raising of the note pitch via the tremolo system).
The main features of the Allparts BP-2007-010 Tremolo Clamp for Ibanez Tremolo Systems include:
I mainly bought this product to block my edge pro bridge in my Ibanez when changing my strings, but I have found that it amazing for the recording studio when you want to play rythm parts and all you have to do is turn a couple screws and suddenly you have a hard tail. the Tremol-No has also added to the sustain of my guitar and has improved the quality a great deal! I would highly recommend this product to anyone from beginners to professionals.
It is easy to install, there are great installation videos online that you can follow for the first timers.
The unit is very useful, no remarks about this at all. Installation is very simple as well. Quite informative installation guide is provided on the package plus some information is available in internet. Easy to find.
First I did installation on my Washburn Parallaxe. What I was surprisingly found, tremolo stacking and did not return to zero point after use. So, when I used the whammy bar, it was never back to balanced position. After some investigation, visual, internet, youtube I found that Tremol-No device needs finally some adjustment: polishing of the working bar. I bought valve grinding and polishing paste, applied and did some friction work to increase the clearance between the bar and hole of the small block. And after all I have good working device which is working very smooth and always back my floyd to balanced position.
That is why I rated it 3 scores, assuming smooth movement is very important for such device and manufacturers should ensure to provide this for such non cheep price.
Lastly, I have installed it on my 7 string Schecter Hellraiser C-7 and enjoyning till now.
So, I can recommend this unit to anybody who planning to use it for drop tuning or even for blocking the tremolo. This is very good device even with some technical problems which are possible to rectify in about 1 hour if you have all materials available.
