Entry-level guitar with steel strings in traditional dreadnought design
With the Epiphone PRO-1 NA Natural, the traditional manufacturer presents an acoustic guitar that is perfectly suitable for beginners and also advanced players. Due to its lightweight construction, the dreadnought produces a warm and powerful sound that is perfect for vocal accompaniment. The extra flat neck guarantees an easy grip in all frets and promises quick learning success. The striking headstock gives the guitar an individual touch, which is completed by the large pickguard.
Construction and woods
To ensure that the tone develops quickly, the top is made of laminated spruce and the body of laminated mahogany. This combination colors the sound with rich bass and warm midrange frequencies. The mahogany neck is equipped with a rosewood fingerboard that has 20 frets for optimal access in all positions.
Hardware and Design
To ensure a clean intonation on the whole scale length of 648 mm, the 42,6 mm wide nut and the bridge inlay are made of Nubone. In-house deluxe tuners are set into the headstock, adding a traditional touch to the overall look with their keystone buttons. The individual components of the body are bordered by plain Bindings that are perfectly matched to the filigree multi-stripe soundhole rosette.

I bought this for my daughter who is stepping up from a 3/4 nylon strung acoustic. She couldn't be more pleased with the look, sound and feel. I play the guitar a bit myself and the quality seems amazing for the price point. The blue is a lovely colour.

This was a gift for a former professional musician. He described it as having the sound and build quality of the Epiphone guitars he used in the 1960s and amazing value for money. It would not only be suitable as an entry-level instrument but could be a reserve for a professional. He said that the guitar was so well set-up that he did not have to make any adjustments or take it to a guitar maker/repairer for adjustment and could play it straight out of the box.
