The neck also follows the classic specifications of the '59 Tele Custom and is made in one piece from radial sawn maple (Quarter Sawn Maple). The neck with walnut skunk stripe back features a comfortable to play 1959 'D' neck profile that follows the shaping of original '59 necks and offers a comfortable thumb rest for carefree layered playing on the fretboard equipped with 21 Narrow Tall frets. Thanks to the modern fretboard radius of 9.5 inches, bending is also easily possible.
Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special Single Coils
Two Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special Single Coils in neck and bridge position provide for appropriate sounds of the Tele. Hand-wound at the Custom Shop facility in Corona, California, the two single coils feature a raised Output to give the Telecaster's classic tone that extra punch without sacrificing traditional Tele qualities. Both pickups are switched via a 3-way pickup selector switch and common volume and tone controls.
Hardware parts with authentic aging
As an important ingredient in the recipe of a cultivated Tele sound, the classic vintage-style Tele bridge with the three iconic brass tailpieces cannot be missing, of course. The fixed bridge design offers direct resonance transmission into the body and is largely responsible for the distinctive Tele twang.
