I bought this combo to pair up to create a stereo rig alongside my Marshall closed back class 5. This is an open backed combo and the tonal characteristics and sound is the perfect partner to the Marshall.
The Marshall is dark and gritty, and this is sparkly and has loads of clean headroom. When paired with a stereo reverb, it sounds amazing.
I would strongly recommend this combo to anyone thinking of buying.
I prefer an amp with minimal controls so I don’t use much of the amp’s features (FAT switch and Reverb) HOWEVER, when I’m not setup with my pedal board and want to just play in the house, the fact that this has an onboard spring reverb means that I can noodle in the house with just the guitar (HSS Strat and PRS Custom 22) and the amp.
Music Store are fantastic and super fast in dispatching and delivering. Their customer service in the UK are also great.
It's so pretty, my wife doesn't mind me leaving it around the house. So I can practise outside my studio. Lovely clean sound and really good reverb. The 'fat' switch is genius. Fills out the tone - why would you ever not have this switch pressed on? To my ears, the amp's natural driven sound is a bit flabby in the bass but a) the speaker is new and b) easily fixed with a drive pedal that has eq control. Overall delighted with this baby Fender.
