The Gibson 1963 Les Paul SG Custom Maestro Vibrola Classic White ULA #200683 represents the model version of that doublecut electric guitar of the year 1963, which marks two historic steps in the history of solid body guitars from Gibson. On the one hand it belongs to the last SG vintage with the famous 'Les Paul' name addition on the truss rod cover, on the other hand it represents the first available SG model with the then newly introduced Maestro Vibrola as a welcome upgrade to the previous Sideways version. A loving replica of the '63 Les Paul SG Custom, the instrument features from the Gibson Custom Shop three Custombucker pickup and a noble Classic White Finish with Ultra Light Aged Treatment from the Gibson Murphy Lab. including case and certificate!

Solid mahogany body & neck.

The body of the Gibson 1963 Les Paul SG Custom Maestro Vibrola Classic White ULA #200683 is made of solid mahogany wood in one piece following the classic recipe. Over the maneuverable neck heel, via a resonant glue joint, is a neck also made of mahogany with a classically slim 1960 Slim Taper profile, which carries the Custom variant matching 22-fret ebony fingerboard with 12" radius and traditional block inlays of mother-of-pearl.

Triple Custombucker Assembly

The Les Paul SG Custom offers additional tonal options compared to the standard version thanks to its triple humbucker lineup, providing pioneers like Sister Rosetta Tharpe as well as modern players like Mastodon's Brent Hinds with the right voice for any occasion. For this purpose the Gibson Custom Shop relies on three hand-wound and tuned custombucker pickups that, with their Alnico-III trim, produce warm and vocal tones in all positions. The trio is controlled by two volume and tone knobs as well as a 3-way switch that activates the middle pickup in the Center position.

Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aging

As an additional special feature of the Gibson 1963 Les Paul SG Custom Maestro Vibrola Classic White ULA #200683, the Gibson Custom Shop ULA #200683 draws on the expertise of the aging experts and Tom Murphy to give the model a historically accurate Classic White nitrocellulose finish that emulates minimal signs of wear from an original that has been well cared for over the decades as part of the Ultra Light Aged treatment. The gold hardware in the form of the six Grover tuners, the classic ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic and the Maestro Vibrola also features a light aging treatment with minimal vintage patina.
