Based on the double-horned design that is particularly popular among rockers, the Gibson SG '50s Tribute offers the typical mahogany construction for a powerful sound, while the "'50s Rounded " profile of the neck fits snugly in the hand and offers comfortable playability. Two Gibson P-90 Single coils with classic Soapbar caps deliver a versatile sound on the amplifier, with a lively midrange spectrum and a crisp attack that is just as inviting for the implementation of bluesy licks as for the forging of driving riffs.
A modern and extremely practical detail, the Gibson Min-ETune System on the headstock of the Gibson SG '50s Tribute . At the touch of a button, his robots Tuner bring the electric guitar into the correct tuning as if by magic, so that time-consuming handling of the tuner is no longer necessary. In addition to Standard tuning, there are twelve alternatives and six storage spaces available for your own creations. On the body side, the proven combination of Tune -O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece also ensures precise intonation and comfortable string positioning.
Gibson SG Tribute '50s Etune Electric Guitar Heritage Cherry It´s a "less is more" model, Light weight and fine wood and a sound you can do allmost anything with. The P 90 pickups is powerful and you can tweak them from jazz-sounding to heavy metal and all sounds beetween.
The min e-Tune works properly. And the cheap price for this USA made Gibson is just a bonus. It also came well intonaded from Music Store in a very fine gigbag. Thanks all guys on Music Store.
This is a beautiful guitar with excellent sound and for an unbeatable price.
P-90 pickups sound amazing.
The guitar is beautiful, for me the lack of pick guard is a bonus that adds to the astetic.
The thin layer of lacquer is actually a big plus because you can feel the grain of the wood under your fingers.
The provided gig bag is nicely padded.
All in all well made guitar that sounds good and looks good. It's a USA made Gibson.
Had been looking for a decently priced SG for few years, but could not justify the high prices of the Gibson guitars, specially knowing that their QC has been bad for couple of years now. Stumbled across this offer from Musicstore and decided to pull the trigger on this guitar. For 440€ this is a steal and a very good price for a USA made Gibson, its from 2013 which is regarded a good year for Gibson craftsmanship, and this guitar proves it, very well made and finished (I tried many 2016-2018) Gibsons and all had some defects, but this one is well made.
It is very light weight and well balance, no neck dive at all! So a perfect guitar for playing standing for hours, without getting shoulder pain!
The guitar runs Dirty Fingers pickups which are very very hot, i first thought of returning it since the pickups are very loud and can reach extreme distortion... BUT after playing with the volume and tone controls (something i never do with my other guitars, since they have lower output pickups (volume 10 Tone 10) This guitar can do almost any style of music, just tweak the controls on the guitar and your amp and you can get crystal clear tones, good definition, lots of attack and a huge amount of distortion for metal... All in All, a very good and versatile guitar specially for the 440€ paid!
My only gripe is the miniEtune which is a nice innovation, but for me its pretty much useless, but its easy to take out and replace with normal tuners like Grovers or Kluson.
If you can still find one for about 400€ its definitely worth the money!.
1ª Gibson SG que adquiri.
Vem acondicionada num saco Gibson que demonstra qualidade. Fecho rubosto e interior muito macio. A bolsa do saco não é muito grande, mas cabe o essencial.
A guitarra é muito bonita, os seus 24 trastos e acção baixa tornam-na muito fácil de tocar. É leve quando comparada com uma Les Paul. O manual de instruções do E-tune é básico e informações adicionais encontram-se na Internet.
Adoro o som dos Pickups 57! Está muito bem construída, sem falhas visiveis, afinal trata-se de uma Gibson. Recomendo.
