Ibanez AS200L: Traditionally made Semi-Hollow
Following the traditional semi-hollow design, the Ibanez AS200L has a body whose back, top and sides are made of laminated curly maple. A solid center block connects the top and bottom so that no feedback occurs even at high volumes. With the flat Artstar profile, the glued mahogany neck also offers smooth-running playability, which allows every note on the ebony fingerboard to slip easily out of your hand.
Super 58 Humbucker with Tri-Sound Switch
The electric sound conversion of the Ibanez Artstar Prestige AS200L-VYS Vintage Yellow Sunburst is done by two Ibanez Super 58 humbuckers. Equipped with Alnico magnets, the pickups are not without reason among the classics for expressive jazz, blues, funk or rock sounds. Accordingly, the amplifier provides a warm sound image with a vocal mid-spectrum and airy, brilliant highs, which lets every note fade out endlessly with singing sustain. Additional sound diversity can also be achieved via the Tri-Sound Switch, which splits the coils of the neck pickup for authentic single coil sounds or connects them in parallel.
Gotoh Hardware
The Ibanez Artstar Prestige also features high-quality hardware to match the flawless workmanship and first-class pickups. A combination of Gotoh 510BN Tune-O-Matic bridge and GE101A tailpiece sits accordingly on the body, which guarantees a comfortable string position and exact intonation. At the headstock hitting the strings after 24.75" scale length (628 mm) first on a bone saddle, which leads them to the Gotoh tuners. These guarantee precise and particularly stable tuning.
