The Ibanez Bass Workshop EHB1265MS-NML Natural Mocha Low Gloss is an elaborately built Ergonomic Headless Bass that combines a dignified noble bass look with excellent playing and sound characteristics. While the especially comfortably styled ash body features a beautiful walnut top, the nine-piece neck of the Multiscale Bass, which offers each string an optimal scale length between 33" and 35" (838 mm and 889 mm), is made of panga panga and walnut. Two Bartolini BH2 pickups and an active Ibanez Vari-Mid 3-band EQ with optional passive mode provide the bass amplifier with a versatile sound spectrum that offers the right tone for almost any musical style. Last but not least, Ibanez completes the Bass Workshop EHB1265MS-NML Natural Mocha Low Gloss with MR5HS mono-rail bridges with integrated tuners.
Multiscale Bass with excellent handling
As a modern headless Bass in multiscale construction, the EHB1265MS convinces with excellent playing characteristics and high-quality woods. Scales optimally matched to each string, rising from 33" (838 mm) at g to 35" (889 mm) at low B, guarantee a precise representation of every note played. The ash body features weight-reducing resonance chambers and a beveled back for a perfectly balanced playing position, while the practical "EHB5" profile of the nine-piece neck made of panga panga and walnut lets every groove come out of the fingers with playful ease. And to ensure safe orientation between the 24 medium stainless steel frets even on dark stages, fluorescent side dots decorate the flank of the panga panga fingerboard.
Bartolini pickups and active equalizer
As pickup for the Bass Workshop Ibanez chooses two dual-coil pickups from Bartolini. Installed in the neck and bridge position of the electric bass guitar, the passive Bartolini BH2 dual coil pickups promise a finely articulated yet powerful sound with tight basses, pleasant mids and silky treble sparkle. To adjust the tone precisely to your own ideas, the EHB1265MS Bass is also equipped with an active Ibanez Vari-Mid 3-band equalizer, whose midband is semi-parametric. If desired, the Bass can be set to passive mode via the EQ bypass switch, with the treble control functioning as a traditional treble control.
Sophisticated hardware
A high-quality and well thought-out hardware equipment completes the Bass Workshop EHB1265MS-NML Natural Mocha Low Gloss E-Bass by Ibanez. While the strings at the neck end are held securely by special headpieces, the MR5HS mono-rails with integrated tuning mechanism on the body guarantee not only an exact tuning of the electric bass, but also an exact adjustment of intonation and string action. To ensure that the Bass is securely fastened to the strap even during action-packed shows, Ibanez also equips it with Schaller S-Lock strap holders. A practical detail for fast players is the removable finger ramp between the pickups, which prevents the fingertips from dipping too deeply between the strings.
