Excellent for use when travelling

Due to its compact size, the Martin SC-10E is excellently suited for use while travelling. At the same time, the instrument develops an amazingly loud and wide-ranging sound thanks to a cleverly thought-out construction. The neck/body junction is unusually located at the 13th fret, but this has the advantage that the guitar has a normal scale length of 645 mm and thus contains the full range of a standard acoustic guitar. The short neck also gets optimized access to all 20 frets through a generous cutaway. The finely tuned hardware also guarantees clean intonation. Furthermore, the open tuners promise a precise tuning of the 6 steel strings. In addition to the razor-thin matte finish, the guitar is rounded off by eye-catching inlays that harmoniously match the extraordinary appearance. To ensure that the Martin SC-10E guitar is also suitable for stage use, a pickup system with an integrated tuner is built into the body, which transmits the sound unaltered to the amplifier. The scope of delivery includes a robust bag.

Compact, innovative and efficient. With the Martin SC-10E acoustic guitar you are well equipped for any occasion

Construction and woods

Since the guitar's construction consists of a solid Sitka spruce top on a Koa-Fine veneer body, the instrument produces a powerful and balanced sound even with light strumming. Therefore, the acoustic guitar is suitable for both fine Pickings and assertive strumming. At the same time, the Select Hardwood neck with an ebony fingerboard offers excellent playability in all registers. This is helped not least by the flat velocity neck profile and the wide cutaway. The overlay of the headstock is, like the fretboard and the bridge made of the finest ebony.

Hardware and design

To ensure that the strings intonate perfectly, the compensated saddle made of GraphTech TUSQ and the 44.45 mm wide nut made of White-Corian are precisely aligned. The open nickel tuners with butterbean buttons allow for easy and clean tuning at the same time. Dot inlays made of mother-of-pearl are incorporated into the fretboard for orientation. The 12th fret, on the other hand, is marked with an extensive celestial dot inlay that tastefully blends in colour with the Aperture design soundhole rosette and subtle black multi-ply bindings.

Electronics

So that the guitar can be used on stage or in the rehearsal room without any problems, the high-quality Fishman MX-T pickup system is built into the body. A control unit, elegantly hidden in the sound hole, allows you to individually adjust the volume and tone of the output signal. In addition, a tuner is conveniently included in the lower part of the sound hole, which displays the respective pitch on a large LED-Display. The active pickup system is powered by a 9V block battery.
