Neck-through guitar with agile playing characteristics

When designing the Music Man Majesty, John Petrucci paid special attention to ergonomic and agile handling. The full-length mahogany neck with its flat D-profile fits perfectly in the hand, while the bound ebony fingerboard with its 17" radius and stainless steel binding makes bending as easy as playing on rails. The mahogany body also convinces with a perfect balance on the strap and on the thigh. Last but not least, the slightly enlarged Big Shield made of spalted maple underlines the premium look of the electric guitar compared to the regular Majesty.

DiMarzio pickups and piezo pickups

The BFR Majesty Blue Steakhouse's electrical tone conversion is handled by DiMarzio magnetic pick-ups and a piezo pickup system. The set of a DiMarzio Dreamcatcher on the bridge and a DiMarzio Rainmaker on the neck delivers detailed progressive metal tones that accurately portray every note, even at high gain and low tuning. The piezo pickup system also allows for authentic acoustic guitar sounds. In addition, the BFR Majesty provides an active boost for increasing the volume.
