Introducing Polydactyl Versio & Tymp Legio Eurorack modules
Noise Engineering Tymp Legio Black at a glance
The Tymp Legio by Noise Engineering is a digital Drum module that moves sonically beyond all TR paths. At the core of the module are three upgraded tone generation algorithms, which are a compact best-of of the Basimilus Iteritas AlterDrum module from the same company.
Boing: (Hi)Hats, bells and metallic specialties
Cat: Snares, Toms and noisy sounds
Boot: kicks, sub basses, lasers and dull sounds
Tymp Legio delivers an enormous range of electronic Percussion sounds. This is ensured by three sound models, each of which is available in three variants by means of "Tang". For direct influence there are the parameters Pitch for the pitch, with Decay you set the decay time and Wackitude changes the timbre. Each of these three parameters can also be modulated with any control voltage. A great extra has been implemented by Noise Engineering on the QUACK inputs. The audio signal is routed to the output and ducked when the Hit input is triggered and the switch is set to Boot or Cat. The duck time is set by the Decay parameter. In Boing mode, the signal is simply passed through to the output. Via the Noise Engineering homepage you get access to the "World or Legio" page, where you can find alternative firmwares and write your own firmware for a module of the Legio series.
