Electric guitar with flamed maple top and PRS TCI pickups, including case
PRS Paul's Guitar Purple Iris corresponds to Paul Reed Smith's idea of the ideal stage and studio electric guitar down to the smallest details. Accordingly, premium woods in the form of mahogany, flamed maple and Honduran rosewood create the foundation for a lively tone, while two PRS TCI humbuckers and flexible circuitry deliver finely articulated sounds with unmatched musicality. A perfectly matched hardware setup with PRS wraparound bridge and PRS locking tuners completes Paul's Guitar Purple Iris.
PRS Paul's Guitar Purple Iris is a flexible studio and stage guitar with high playing comfort and chic look.
The glued "Pattern" mahogany neck of the PRS Paul's Guitar convinces with a high playing comfort.
High-quality woods and comfortable handling
With special attention to a lively and finely articulated sound with musical warmth, Paul Reed Smith chooses only high-quality woods for the PRS Paul's Guitar. Accordingly, the electric guitar has a mahogany body with a solid curly maple top and a gluedmahoganyneck with a fingerboard of Honduran rosewood, in which elegant brushstroke bird inlays mark the positions. The not too strong "Pattern" neck profile with the perfect rounding also ensures optimal playing characteristics.
PRS TCI humbuckers with flexible coil-split circuitry provide musical clean and overdrive sounds with fine detail on the guitar amp.
TCI pickups with flexible circuit
For the pickup of PRS Paul's Guitar Purple Iris Paul Reed Smith chooses two TCI humbuckers. Optimally tuned to the electric guitar in terms of capacitance and inductance (TCI), the pickups deliver a particularly musical and detailed sound on the guitar amplifier, which skilfully translates every playing nuance in both the clean and overdrive channels. Two mini-switches between the Volume and Tone controls also allow individual splitting of the humbuckers, so that the sound repertoire is supplemented by glassy single-coil sounds with a brilliant treble spectrum.
PRS Phase III locking tuners guarantee accurate and stable tuning of Paul's Guitar.
Optimally matched hardware equipment
Last but not least, the PRS Paul's Purple Iris is complemented by hardware that is optimally matched to the instrument. On the body, the proven PRS wraparound tailpiece is used, which supports the finely articulated tone of the electric guitar with brass inserts in the compensated string rest. On the headstock in the typical PRS design, furthermore PRS Phase III locking tuners ensure an exact and stable Tuning of the electric guitar.
