The SPL Phonitor 3 DAC combines the proven and rightly highly acclaimed sound characteristics of SPL's Phonitor series with the high-end digital converter from the SPL Mastering series. For the first time, these two components are combined in one device. You can enjoy the dynamic, virtually distortion-free and clear headphone amplification of the Phonitor 2, you have a preamp output for connecting your speakers and you can connect a digital player of your choice to the Phonitor 3 DAC and convert PCM and DSD audio data to the highest quality.
Useful functions for precise listening
As a headphone and monitor controller for use in professional recording studios, the Phonitor 3 DAC has a wide range of monitoring options: Signals that have already been panned can be heard even more accurately with L/R Solo. The L/R Swap switch swaps the left and right channels, which can be helpful when selecting samples with panorama movement, for example. The common Mono Sum function can be used in combination with the Phase Swap switch to monitor the mid and side signals separately. Finally, the laterality function (balance control) can be used to compensate for differences in sensitivity between the left and right ear.

The Expansion Rack
The SPL Expansion Rack is a flexible solution for expanding compatible SPL devices (Phonitor 2/3 and SMC 7.1). It can be integrated into a 19-inch rack or used as a desktop enclosure with mountable feet.
The construction is designed for easy installation: The device to be integrated is inserted and securely fixed by removing the housing screws. Via an XLR connection to the supplied 1 x 4 switch, the Expansion Rack expands the installed device to three additional stereo speaker outputs. This allows versatile use, especially for studios with multiple monitoring applications.
