The Sterling by Music Man JP157 John Petrucci Signature is constructed using high quality ingredients. The strongly contoured body is made of mahogany with a top of curly maple, whose intense grain is elegantly highlighted by the transparent Iceland Burst finish. Five screws are used to attach the Roasted Maple neck, which is easy to play thanks to its "D" profile. This neck has enormous stability due to the thermal treatment of the maple wood in a vacuum and is insensitive to climate fluctuations.
Two humbuckers with active boost, high-quality hardware
The electric sound conversion of the Sterling by Music Man JP157 John Petrucci Signature electric guitar is handled by two hot-wound humbuckers, which with their tight sound skilfully stage fat riffs as well as complex solos, and present chords and melodies harmoniously in the clean channel.
