With the 2028 super-cardioid vocal microphone,DPA presents a new addition to their microphone portfolio. The DPA 2028 offers DPA's proven natural sound that makes voices shine. It is especially suited for vocalists and is ideal for live, broadcast and pro AV applications.
On the live stage, the DPA 2028 delivers the same open and transparent sound as other DPA microphones. In fact, it requires no (or very little) EQ to sound like you're standing right next to the singer listening to his performance. The singer can use his voice as if he were singing without a microphone.
The 2028 is designed to provide the same excellent sound as the flagship d:facto™ model. It features a newly developed non-replaceable capsule, a specially designed shock mount, and a pop filter.
The microphone has a fixed polar pattern. This is a modified supercardioid with the even off-axis response that DPA is known for. This gives the microphone very high gain before the onset of feedback and makes it easier to handle crosstalk from other instruments in the immediate vicinity, as the sound is picked up unaltered.
Due to the expected wear and tear of live performance, both the outer basket and inner pop filter of the 2028 can be removed and cleaned.
The DPA 2028 offers:
Superior sound quality
Extremely high gain before feedback sets in
Uniform and controlled directivity
A rugged design for stage use
